Pwinsider.com is reporting that the WWE is currently working on the video presentation for its next inductee into the 2015 Class. That man is none other than Ray “The Crippler” Stevens. He is expected to be announced on February 2nd’s Monday Night Raw.
Stevens’ likely inclusion is due to his history with the area of Wrestlemania 31. For over a decade in the 50s/60s and 70s, The Crippler was one of the main attractions in the San Francisco Bay Area, selling out the Cow Palace on multiple occasions.
For any fan who doesn’t know his work, he is also well-known as a tag team wrestler, garnering gold with both Hall of Famers Nick Bockwinkel and Pat Patterson. Patterson is expected to induct the now deceased Crippler.
This will likely mark the only other deceased wrestler to be included in this years class. Sadly, we will have to wait another year for the British Bulldog, Bam Bam Bigelow or Ravishing Rick Rude.
