In a move that boggles my mind, Scott Hall will join the WWE Hall of Fame as his character, Razor Ramon. Ramon, a character played between 1992-1996 by Hall during his first stint at the WWE, was a four time IC champion and upper mid card talent. And then he left to join the competition to form one of the most important factions in the history of professional wrestling. And WWE ignored it completely.
Perhaps I am over reacting, but today was the first time WWE has taken a man who has had a long storied career, who was important to the very fabric of where wrestling went in the 1990s and reduced him to a 90s character gimmick.
Its strange… I will go into this further of a full post. In the meantime, here’s what WWE doesn’t want you to know.
